Try these small changes for big results:
1. Get a new pillow.
Many of us have pillows that are lumpy, stained, and full of dust mites. In many cases, the pillow isn’t th eproper firmness or height. Find a pillow that’s comfortable and keeps your spine in alignment.
2. Wake up 10 minutes earlier.
Instead of rushing in the morning, try getting up 10 minutes earlier. Go through your morning routine a little more leisurely or spend time relaxing.
3. Stretch in the morning.
Stretching has many benefits. We tend to lose flexibility and mobility as we age. A short stretching session will get the blood flowing and warm up your body for the day ahead.
4. Have a healthy shake for breakfast.
Most quick breakfast are anything but healthy. A quick protein shake with fruit and other healthy ingredients is a wonderful way to start the day.
5. Have green tea in the morning instead of coffee.
While green tea does have a little caffeine, there’s significantly less than the amount found in coffee. Green tea also has excellent anti-inflammatory benefits.
6. Tell someone that you love them.
Few words have as much impact as “I love you”
7. Keep a journal.
If you keep a journal, you’ll be more likely to live a life worth recording. After 5 straight days of repeating yourself, you’ll be ready to shake things up.
8. Sit and stand up straight.
Good posture seems to be more of a rarity with each passing year. Although it can difficult to remember to maintain your posture, you’ll be rewarded with a fewer aches and pains.
9. Take a walk during lunch.
Skip the lengthy lunch outing and take a walk instead. You can eat before or after.
10. Stand up while working.
It’s much healthier and you’ll burn more calories.
